What is the Hā
Initiative?
A fun, creative place for kids in Grades 2 to 8 to spend their after-school time. Through Hā, kids learn and grow by exploring the worlds of science, technology, engineering & math (STEM). The program is free and gives participants an after-school snack, tutoring, a chance to meet other kids and enjoy exciting, hands-on science projects and computer activities. Volunteers Needed
We love our volunteers! If you are an adult, college student or high school student who would like to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of the Hā kids, please call us at (808) 842-7686 What does "Hā" mean?
The hā is the "stem" of the kalo (taro) which supports the plant's growth. In the same way, this program helps young people establish a strong foundation for personal and academic growth. Contact Us:
