The food and hygiene products were donated by Holomua Elementary School, which holds an annual canned and hygiene drive for our Kokua E Hanai program. Mahalo to everyone at Holomua Elementary School for donating to individuals and families in need!
HPU Students Teach Zumba Class
Hawaii Pacific University Master>of Social Work and Nursing students have been working with the Leeward District Service Center’s Kupuna Independent Life Series and Stepping Stones Homeless Health Project. Last week, the HPU students led a water aerobics class for the Kupuna at Pokai Bay. This week, a large number of residents from the Waianae Boat Harbor joined the students to do Zumba. The students, Kupuna, and Boat Harbor residents have learned many things from one another, including ways to live healthier, more productive lives.
