Rapid Re-Housing Program
If intake cannot be conducted at our Kumuhonua location, our staff are ready and willing to meet participants at their area of preference.
HCAP’s Rapid Re-Housing Program provides permanent housing for unsheltered individuals and families, along with those residing in emergency or transitional shelters. These services can include rental assistance, security and utility deposits (electric, gas, and water), as well as payments for past due rent and/or utilities.
HCAP’s Rapid Re-Housing Program provides assistance to participants at-risk of homelessness. After intake and assessment, an individual or family may be provided with financial assistance for rental and/or utility arrears, and future rent payments. Participants are also eligible for additional services provided by HCAP, such as Nā Lima Hana Employment Core Services Program and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
The Rapid Re-Housing staff will provide support to program participants who are looking for assistance in obtaining permanent housing. Staff can help locate units for participants as well as providing move-in assistance including financial assistance for prorated rent, monthly rent, and deposits required for move-in. The Rapid Re-Housing staff also conduct landlord engagements to ensure a smooth transition into permanent housing for participants.
